Since his promotion, he has started the first two games, starting on Monday in center field and on Tuesday in left field.

Although Verdugo has a.659 OPS this year, the Yankees will always mix and match to keep everyone happy. However, it is expected that the “Martian” will spend most of his playing time in left field. Most evenings, Aaron Judge plays center field and Juan Soto covers right field.
Put another way, manager Aaron Boone’s most-liked lineup will likely be the one we saw on Tuesday, with Dominguez in left, Judge in center, Soto in right, and Giancarlo Stanton serving as the primary designated hitter. Additionally, it offers the Yankees the best opportunity to prevail.

Verdugo will occasionally start a few games and continue to play a supporting role. On the nights he does not start, he might be used as a pinch hitter or defensive substitute. However, in order for the Yankees to win more games, they need to field their best team, which consists of Verdugo in the bench, Stanton at first base, and Dominguez in left field.
Verdugo is handling the situation well because he has made it clear that he will stop at nothing to help the Yankees win. In Monday’s game against the Kansas City Royals, which ended in a New York victory, he even hit a home run.
