BREAKING: Nebraska Three-Star Top-Notch Fans Favorite Makes Shock Decision Over…

After completing two official visits this month, Antione West has narrowed his college choices to two schools. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound shooting guard from Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer High told 247Sports that he will make his decision on October 1st, choosing between Big Ten programs Nebraska and Purdue.

West recently visited Purdue, where he was impressed by the Boilermakers’ culture both on and off the court. “I liked the way they welcomed me and the culture of their basketball program,” West said about Purdue. “I even liked their academic programs. They give their athletes other options beyond basketball. Matt Painter wants me to be myself, play freely, and be able to score.”

The previous weekend, West visited Nebraska, where he was equally impressed by Fred Hoiberg’s NBA background. “The visit went really well,” he said. “I was surprised by their facilities, and their coaching staff has a lot of professional experience. Coach Hoiberg has both played and coached in the league, which is a big plus.”

West is weighing his options carefully, as both schools offer compelling opportunities. “Both schools have strengths that stand out to me,” West said. “I’m thinking about how I feel and how I could envision myself there.”

Ranked No. 35 among shooting guards in the 2025 class by 247Sports, West’s decision will be closely watched.
