REPORT: Maxx Crosby Finally Breaks Silence On Trade

After the Las Vegas Raiders traded Davante Adams to the New York Jets, many fans, coaches, and players likely thought the drama had subsided. Adams had been at the center of trade rumors since last season, and his recent outburst on Netflix’s “Receiver,” combined with the Raiders’ sluggish start to the year, fueled speculation. Now that he has reunited with Aaron Rodgers on the Jets, the Raiders face new rumors surrounding pass rusher Maxx Crosby.

Crosby addressed these rumors on “The Rush Podcast” on Tuesday, clarifying that he has no intention of leaving the Raiders, despite fans from Detroit stirring up speculation. “I’m sitting here innocently just doing what I do… I’ve had to address it with my teammates,” Crosby said. “I’m not trying to leave. I want to be here in Las Vegas. I want to be Silver and Black.” While acknowledging the business side of the NFL, Crosby reiterated his commitment to the Raiders: “I’ll say it loud and clear. I want to be a Raider.”

Detroit fans’ interest in Crosby stems from two main factors. First, the Lions’ star pass rusher, Aidan Hutchinson, suffered a broken leg in Week 6, leading fans to clamor for an elite pass rusher on a struggling team. Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns has also been mentioned as a potential target. Second, Crosby has ties to Michigan, having been born there and later playing college football at Eastern Michigan University, which is close to Detroit.

While Lions fans are eager for Crosby to join their team, the 27-year-old doesn’t seem interested in leaving Las Vegas at this point. Raiders owner Mark Davis also shot down the trade rumors last week, saying a move involving Crosby “just isn’t happening.” For now, the speculation appears to be on hold, though surprises are always possible in the NFL.
