The Buffalo Bills aim to extend their five-game winning streak when they host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. In a promising development for their defense, the team opened the 21-day practice window for All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano on Monday. Milano, who’s been on injured reserve since the preseason due to a torn bicep, will begin practicing again as he works toward a return in the coming weeks. The Bills have up to three weeks to officially activate him, providing a flexible timeline for his return to game action.
Head coach Sean McDermott discussed the approach to Milano’s comeback, emphasizing a cautious, step-by-step plan. “We’re going to take it one week at a time here,” McDermott said. “It’s been a while since he’s played, but he and our trainers have done a phenomenal job to get him to this point. We’ll assess where he’s at at the end of the week to determine next steps.”
While Milano is unlikely to play against the Chiefs, McDermott suggested a potential return after the Bills’ bye week for their Week 13 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
