New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers missed Friday’s practice due to a groin injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Nabers has been a standout performer for the Giants, ranking second among NFL rookies in receptions (61) and fourth in receiving yards (607) through eight games (seven starts). He also leads the team in both categories, along with his three touchdown receptions.
The 21-year-old previously missed two games in October after suffering a concussion during a Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Nabers was selected by the Giants with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of LSU, where he was a star playmaker.
Sunday’s game marks the start of the post-Daniel Jones era for the 2-8 Giants, with second-year quarterback Tommy DeVito taking over as the starter against the visiting Buccaneers (4-6).
