Auburn’s recruiting class for 2025 has grown.
In December, the program’s Early Signing Period was quite busy. Twenty-one freshmen from the high school class have already enrolled at Auburn, and four more have signed. Not including the 16 players who are not on the transfer portal.
In February, there is still a National Signing Day. Omar Mabson will sign with the Tigers at that point.
On Monday, Mabson declared his intention to play for Hugh Freeze. Reclassified from the Class of 2026 to the Class of 2025, he is a local running back.
With the assistance of Hayes Fawcett of On3, Mabson broke the major news:
Mabson, who hails from Auburn High School, is listed at 5-9 and 200 pounds. He holds a 3-star rating, ranked as the No. 37 player in Alabama and No. 86 running back according to 247Sports, though he does not have a Composite ranking.
Throughout his recruitment, Mabson received offers from 24 programs, with notable interest from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mizzou, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
