Star wide receiver Malik Nabers recently shared his thoughts on two top quarterback prospects who could potentially land with the New York Giants in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Giants: Malik Nabers lauds Cam Ward & Shedeur Sanders
Giants Pro Bowler Malik Nabers had high praise for both Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, as reported by Dan Salomone of giants.com.
Speaking on Airing It Out with Amber Theoharis and Patrick Peterson, Nabers highlighted Ward’s unique skill set:
“He’s confident in the pocket,” Nabers said. “He makes throws into tight windows that most quarterbacks wouldn’t attempt, but his arm talent is exceptional. He’s mobile, and I’ve seen him lead comebacks in games that seemed out of reach. He’s incredibly efficient, has an elite arm, and exudes leadership—he wants to bring his team together to win.”
The LSU standout then shared his thoughts on Shedeur Sanders, a fellow member of the 2021 recruiting class:
“I’ve been watching him for a long time,” Nabers said. “He has incredible arm talent and gives his receivers the chance to make plays. He’s fearless, determined to win, and, from what I’ve heard, a true leader in the locker room.”
Ward & Sanders could both lead the Giants’ new era

Meanwhile, Sanders cemented himself as the most efficient quarterback in FBS history. His remarkable 74 percent completion rate last season boosted his career average to a record-setting 71.8 percent, alongside 4,134 passing yards and 37 touchdowns.
What makes Nabers’ evaluations noteworthy is his emphasis on their intangibles. The Giants need a quarterback who can lead, stay poised in the pocket, and create plays under pressure. Both Ward and Sanders possess those qualities and exude confidence. With the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, New York is well-positioned to land a promising signal-caller who can help shape the team’s future.
