The Minnesota Vikings experienced a remarkable 14-3 season, led by AP Coach of the Year Kevin O’Connell and a breakout performance from quarterback Sam Darnold. Off the field, Vikings fans also had plenty to celebrate, as U.S. Bank Stadium was ranked No. 1 in “Overall Game-Day Satisfaction” in the NFL’s “Voice of the Fan” survey.
This league-wide survey evaluates the experiences of season ticket holders and game attendees, measuring overall satisfaction throughout the regular season. According to the Vikings’ announcement, their rating set a record for the highest score ever given in the category, further cementing U.S. Bank Stadium as one of the premier venues in the NFL.
Minnesota ranked in the top 10 in eight of nine categories in the “Voice of the Fan” survey, showing significant improvement from last year in areas such as Food & Beverage, Security, Game-Day Staff, and Arrival & Departure.
“These incredible rankings reflect the dedication, energy, and commitment of our entire staff, as well as the collaboration with the MSFA, ASM, Aramark, and all of our stadium partners,” said Vikings Chief Operating Officer Andrew Miller. “We always seek to provide a world-class experience for Vikings fans, who we believe are the most passionate in the NFL, and we’re honored they rated their experience so positively with record-breaking marks.”
U.S. Bank Stadium, which stands on the former site of the Metrodome in Minneapolis, opened in July 2016 and can accommodate up to 73,000 fans. Beyond hosting Vikings games, the stadium has also been the site of college basketball, soccer, baseball, college football, professional wrestling, concerts, and more.
