GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) — Cincinnati Reds prospect Cam Collier is set to undergo surgery on Thursday to fix a torn ligament in his left thumb.

Manager Terry Francona shared the news with reporters, including the Cincinnati Enquirer, on Sunday. The injury will sideline Collier from hitting for four to six weeks.

The 20-year-old infielder injured the ulnar collateral ligament in his glove hand during a game against the Chicago Cubs on March 2.
