The New York Rangers reached an agreement with goaltender Jonathan Quick on a one-year contract extension Wednesday.

While the exact terms were not revealed, SportsNet reported the deal to be worth $1.55 million, which includes a $550,000 signing bonus, along with up to $300,000 in potential performance incentives.

At 39 years old, Quick has played 21 games for the Rangers this season, recording a 9-6-2 record with three shutouts, a 3.14 goals-against average, and an .896 save percentage.

In his 18th NHL season, Quick has achieved several milestones, including becoming the first U.S.-born goaltender to reach 400 wins and the 17th goalie in league history to play in 800 games.

A three-time Stanley Cup champion—winning with the Los Angeles Kings in 2012 and 2014, and the Vegas Golden Knights in 2023—Quick holds a career record of 402-289-88. He has recorded 63 shutouts, a 2.49 goals-against average, and a .911 save percentage across 801 games with the Kings (2007-23), Golden Knights (2023), and Rangers.
