The Detroit Red Wings announced they have signed defenseman Anton Johansson to a three-year entry-level contract, set to begin next season. In the meantime, Johansson will join the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins on an amateur tryout agreement.

Johansson, a fourth-round pick by the Red Wings in the 2022 NHL Draft, has spent the past four seasons playing for Leksands IF in Sweden. During the 2024-25 season, he recorded five goals and five assists over 46 games, while also accumulating 50 penalty minutes.
