It’s official—Cooper Rush’s time with the Dallas Cowboys has come to a close after eight seasons. On Sunday, news broke that the veteran quarterback has agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, where he’ll serve as Lamar Jackson’s backup. According to ESPN, Rush’s contract with Baltimore is for two years, worth up to $12.2 million, with $4.2 million guaranteed.

Rush’s departure from Dallas means he’ll be saying goodbye to his Cowboys teammates—if he hasn’t already—as well as the close friends he and his wife, Lauryn Rush, made during their time with the team.

On Sunday, Morgan Martin, wife of Cowboys star guard Zack Martin (who recently announced his retirement), was among the first to congratulate the Rush family on their move to Baltimore. She shared her excitement in a six-word message: “Let’s gooooo!!! The most deserving family!” tagging Lauryn Rush in her post.

Although Morgan Martin was clearly thrilled about the news, it’s likely a bittersweet moment for her as well. She and Lauryn Rush had developed a close friendship during their time together in Dallas, and saying goodbye to a good friend is never easy. As for Cooper Rush, he’s about to start a new chapter in his career. While he may not have been a star in Dallas, there’s no question he played a valuable role on the team over the past several years.
