DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings have announced the signing of standout  forward to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2025-26 season.

the veteran, spent the 2024-25 season playing for RytĂ­Å™i Kladno in the Czech Extraliga, where he led the team in several categories. He topped the roster with 23 goals, 28 assists, and 51 points, tying for the team lead with a plus-four rating. He also racked up 66 penalty minutes, led in shorthanded goals (2), and tied for first in game-winning goals (2). Additionally, he contributed 13 power-play points (2nd on the team), two power-play goals, and ranked second with 143 shots in 48 games. His 51 points were the highest in Czechia’s top professional league last season.

The 6-foot-4, 209-pound forward also spent the entire 2023-24 campaign with RytĂ­Å™i Kladno, where he posted 32 points (21 goals, 11 assists) and 34 penalty minutes across 52 regular-season games. In the playoffs, he added five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in four games.

From 2020 to 2023, Tralmaks played parts of three seasons with the Providence Bruins in the AHL, tallying 41 points (22 goals, 19 assists), a plus-23 rating, and 42 penalty minutes in 87 games.

Before going pro, Tralmaks played four seasons at the University of Maine (2017-2021), where he registered 82 points (39 goals, 43 assists), a plus-22 rating, and 102 penalty minutes in 119 games. In 2016-17, he skated with the USHL’s Chicago Steel, collecting 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) and 12 penalty minutes in 46 games. He was named MVP of the Clark Cup Playoffs that year after helping lead the Steel to their first championship, scoring 12 points (10 goals, 2 assists) in 14 postseason games.

A native of Riga, Latvia, Tralmaks recently helped his national team qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics, scoring one goal in three games during the final qualification round. He also played for Latvia at the 2024 IIHF World Championship, where he logged two points (one goal, one assist) in seven games. Earlier in his career, he represented Latvia at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship, picking up two assists and 27 penalty minutes in six games, and at the 2015 IIHF Under-18 World Championship, where he recorded three points (one goal, two assists) and 25 penalty minutes in six contests.
