ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have brought back a familiar face, re-signing veteran fullback, the team announced Wednesday.
Burton has been a key contributor over the past two seasons, appearing in all 34 of Denver’s regular-season games while making an impact on both offense and special teams. In 2024, he played 16% of the team’s offensive snaps and was on the field for 62% of special teams plays.
Now entering his 11th NFL season, Burton has played in 147 career games, starting 22 of them. He has totaled 42 career carries and 31 receptions, scoring four combined touchdowns.
Originally drafted by the Lions in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Burton spent two seasons in Detroit before playing for the Bears (2017-18), Commanders (2019), Saints (2020), and Chiefs (2021-22).
