Auburn Tigers forward Johni Broome has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft following the team’s impressive NCAA Tournament performance.

Broome helped guide Auburn to the Final Four, where they ultimately fell to the eventual national champions, the Florida Gators.

Before their semifinal loss, the Tigers notched wins over Michigan State, Michigan, Creighton, and Alabama State.

Although they came up short of a national title, Auburn still enjoyed a highly successful season.

After the season concluded, and Broome announced his departure for the NBA, fellow Auburn standout Tahaad Pettiford responded to the news with a simple message: “BIG DIB.”

Later, Pettiford returned to the comment section to playfully question Broome’s choice, reacting to Broome’s “4 out” caption by asking, “Is 4 really out?”

In his final year at Auburn, Broome posted averages of 18.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game—leading the team in all categories.

Tahaad Pettiford, who wore No. 0 for the Tigers, has also declared for the 2025 NBA Draft after a strong freshman season in which he averaged 11.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.

With both Broome and Pettiford heading to the pros, Auburn now parts ways with arguably the two cornerstones of its memorable campaign.
