GOOD NEWS: Auburn Sends Miles Kelly Message After Historic Season

Auburn wrapped up a stellar season at 32-6 (15-3 SEC), claiming the SEC regular-season title and finishing fourth in the final AP Poll under head coach Bruce Pearl.

The Tigers were one of the nation’s top offensive teams, ranking 13th in scoring at 83 points per game and boasting a plus-13.5 scoring margin, good for eighth in the country.

They earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, defeating Alabama State, Creighton, Michigan, and Michigan State to reach the Final Four, where they fell 79-73 to Florida in the semifinals.

A key figure in Auburn’s success was senior guard Miles Kelly.

On Saturday, Auburn honored Kelly with a video tribute on X, captioned, “Gonna miss this sharp shoota 👌🔥.”

Kelly, a standout at Parkview High School (Lilburn, Georgia) and Hargrave Military Academy, initially committed to Georgia Tech as a four-star recruit according to 247Sports.

During three seasons with the Yellow Jackets, Kelly played in 95 games (60 starts), averaging 13.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a junior, earning All-ACC honorable mention and surpassing 1,000 career points.

Transferring to Auburn for the 2024-25 season, Kelly provided critical 3-point shooting and veteran leadership. He averaged 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 40.6% from the floor.

Kelly led the Tigers in made 3-pointers (88) at a 37.8% success rate, highlighted by a nine-three, 30-point outburst against Kentucky on March 1.

With seniors Johni Broome, Denver Jones, and Kelly all departing, Auburn faces a major roster overhaul.

Saturday’s tribute marks the close of one of the most experienced and efficient seasons in program history.
