Elton John expressed his sadness at being unable to witness his sons Zachary and Elijah participate in sports.The award-winning musician acknowledged that it had been a “emotional” year and added that his husband, David Furnish, had helped him stay upbeat.”I can see you, but I can’t see TV or read,” he told The Times. So you say to yourself, just get on with it,” he said.Elton revealed last September that he has “limited eyesight” after getting a “severe eye infection” while on vacation in France. “Unfortunately, I have had a terrible eye illness during the summer, which has left me with only limited vision in one eye. Elton’s health woes

Aside from losing his eyesight in one eye, Elton has been affected by a number of health problems in recent years.

 

He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017 and underwent surgery to remove his prostate. While the surgery was successful, Elton contracted a major infection 10 days after the operation, which left him “24 hours from death”.
