Signing a top defensive free agent is urged for the Titans.

Under new general manager Mike Borgonzi, the Tennessee Titans made roster changes this summer. Borgonzi realized that the three-win Kansas City Chiefs club from the previous season needed to alter after 16 years in a variety of positions. This began with the release of former Pro Bowl edge rusher Harold Landry III and the acquisition of highly skilled veteran free agents, such as linebacker Cody Barton and offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr.
In order to provide a stable foundation for rookie quarterback Cam Ward, the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Tennessee also signed seasoned wide receivers like Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson.

Linebacker in particular is a position of worry, according to Titans writer Easton Freeze. Aaron Schatz of ESPN argued that the Titans should sign Kyzir White, a free agent linebacker, as a remedy to this problem.
Schatz noted, “The Titans don’t really have many reliable inside linebackers on the roster. “No one else at the position played more than 10.5% of defensive snaps last season, but Tennessee acquired Cody Barton from Denver. White is still available, and it would be very beneficial to have a strong veteran play up the center.
White, a seven-year NFL veteran, has been with the Arizona Cardinals for the past two seasons. Throughout his career, he has also made trips with the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers.
White might be the answer for a linebacker group that was already lacking after losing Kenneth Murray this offseason. His career totals include 7.5 sacks, 6 interceptions, 23 passes defended, two forced fumbles, and 615 tackles, 34 of which were for a loss. He shouldn’t fetch as much money at this stage of the offseason, so if the new management thinks he fits defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson’s plan, this might be a huge acquisition.
