The Buffalo Bills are riding high at 5-2 as they head into a crucial Week 8 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, and a significant factor in their success has been quarterback Josh Allen’s impressive play. Notably, Allen is the only starting quarterback in the NFL this season who hasn’t thrown an interception through seven games, a stark contrast to his previous seasons where turnovers were a regular part of his game. Since 2020, he has recorded over 10 more turnovers than any other player, making this current stretch particularly remarkable.
In a recent interview, Allen expressed pride in his interception-free performance, acknowledging that reducing mistakes has been a focus of his development over the past couple of years. “A lot of pride [in not throwing an interception],” Allen remarked. “I think that’s one of the things I wanted to clean up, really the last couple of years.” He emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced mindset while playing, stating, “I’m not sitting back there not trying to throw interceptions… You just have to go out there and play football; trust your eyes, trust your feet, trust your arm.”
If Allen can sustain this level of play and continue to limit turnovers, it could greatly enhance the Bills’ chances in their playoff pursuit. As they prepare to face the Seahawks, the focus will be on whether Allen can maintain his momentum and contribute to the team’s strong position in the AFC East.
