On Monday afternoon, the Florida Gators secured their 12th commitment for the Class of 2025, flipping a commitment from another SEC school. Kicker Evan Noel (6-2, 155) from Bay Saint Louis, MS, St. Stanislaus, changed his commitment from Arkansas to Florida after visiting Gainesville earlier this fall.
Noel announced his decision on social media, posting, “Committed!!!! #gogators” on Monday.
Ranked as the nation’s top kicker, Noel had received an offer from the Gators after attending their camp over the summer. This fall, he set a Mississippi High School football record with a 61-yard field goal, the longest ever made in the state. In addition to kicking, Noel also punts and handles kickoffs for his high school team.
He will enroll at Florida in the summer and is expected to back up kicker Trey Smack, who has one year of eligibility remaining.
