BREAKING NEWS: Buffalo Bills Announce Intriguing QB Decision

The Buffalo Bills are set to return to action in Week 13 after their bye week, with a Sunday Night Football matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Ahead of the game, the Bills made a surprising move at quarterback, promoting Mike White to the active roster. While the quarterback position is usually secure with Josh Allen, who has been playing exceptionally well and is not dealing with any injuries, the Bills are adding extra depth with White. Veteran backup Mitch Trubisky also provides additional security at the position. In addition to promoting White, the Bills also elevated tight end Zach Davidson and activated linebacker Matt Milano from Injured Reserve. However, defensive tackle DeWayne Carter (wrist) was downgraded to out for the game.

Why Bills' 2024 offensive personnel is the best of QB Josh Allen's career

While the return of Matt Milano from injured reserve should be the headline news, the decision to promote Mike White from the practice squad to the active roster has sparked some curiosity among fans. Many are now wondering if Josh Allen might be dealing with an undisclosed injury. However, it’s likely that the Bills are simply elevating White as an emergency third-string quarterback for this game, ensuring they have sufficient depth at the position. With an extra roster spot available, Buffalo can afford to carry White without making a major disruption to the roster. Unless an unexpected situation arises, Allen will remain under center for the Bills during this crucial matchup against the 49ers. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. EST on Sunday, Dec. 1.
