The Pittsburgh Steelers have released outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon. Moon, who joined the team from the Baltimore Ravens during the 2024 offseason, served primarily as a special teams contributor and provided depth at outside linebacker, stepping in when injuries impacted the unit.
The Steelers chose not to extend an Exclusive Rights Free Agent tender to Moon before the deadline, making him an unrestricted free agent free to sign with any team. After missing the first month of the season due to an ankle injury, he returned to play in 13 games.
Moon started one game during the season and recorded nine total tackles. As a pass rusher, he generated four pressures in his limited opportunities.
The 26-year-old entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Florida in the 2022 draft. During the 2024 season with the Ravens, he recorded 12 tackles and two forced fumbles.
Now a free agent, Moon hits the open market, and the Steelers may look to reinforce their outside linebacker depth through free agency or the draft.
