Russell Wilson’s free agency is an interesting subplot amid the Aaron Rodgers speculation. While Wilson isn’t the elite dual-threat quarterback he once was in Seattle, he could still provide value to a team like the Giants, who are looking for stability at the position. If New York signs him, they might still draft a quarterback at No. 3 overall, setting up a bridge situation where Wilson starts while a rookie develops.
The Browns could also be an intriguing fit, especially with Deshaun Watson’s durability concerns. However, with Cleveland’s defense carrying the team last year, they might not want to spend on Wilson unless they’re truly uncertain about Watson.
As for Pittsburgh, bringing him back seems unlikely unless they completely strike out on Rodgers or another veteran option. What do you think—would Wilson be a good fit for the Giants, or should they focus on drafting their QB of the future?
Signing Wilson would make sense for the Giants if they plan to draft a quarterback at No. 3. He brings veteran leadership and playoff experience, which could help mentor a young signal-caller. However, New York’s lack of elite playmakers outside of Malik Nabers might limit Wilson’s effectiveness. If the Giants truly want to compete in 2025, they’ll need to improve their offensive line and add more weapons.
Would you prefer the Giants to draft a QB, or should they focus on surrounding Wilson with better talent?
