GOOD NEWS: Auburn CB announces return to transfer portal

The Auburn defensive back shared practice clips on social media after several reports confirmed his decision to re-enter the portal.

This marks Scott’s second time entering the portal—he previously tested the waters last year but ultimately returned to Auburn.

Scott is working his way back from an ACL tear suffered in the summer of 2024. During the 2023 season, he appeared in four regular-season games and the Music City Bowl, recording two tackles.

A native of Mableton, Georgia, Scott was a 4-star recruit out of Pebblebrook High School. He was ranked No. 31 in Georgia, No. 33 among cornerbacks, and No. 321 nationally in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He received offers from 39 different programs during his initial recruitment.

Although Scott’s exit affects Auburn’s cornerback depth, the Tigers are expected to bring back starters Kayin Lee and Jay Crawford, and they’ve also added Raion Strader from the portal.
