SAD NEWS: LSU Loss Another Key Man To Rivals

Former LSU running back Tre Bradford is heading to Grambling State, where he will reunite with one of the coaches from his previous SEC school. Bradford is expected to suit up for Grambling State’s season opener against Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, according to the Ruston Leader. His debut with GSU coincides with the first game for new head coach Mickey Joseph, who was on the LSU staff when Bradford first joined the program.

Bradford had an outstanding high school career at Lancaster High School in Texas, where he was highly regarded as a four-star prospect by multiple recruiting services. As a senior, he rushed for over 1,500 yards and scored 23 touchdowns, leading his team to an 11-2 record and a district championship. His achievements earned him All-District honors and recognition as one of the top running backs in Texas.

Bradford began his college football career at LSU in 2020, appearing in five games, including one start, and scored his first career touchdown against Florida. After a brief time at Oklahoma, he returned to LSU in 2022. Over his time at LSU, Bradford played in seven games, making two starts, and rushed for 70 yards on 16 carries. His standout moment came with a 55-yard reception against Florida State in 2023.

Bradford entered the transfer portal in December 2023, looking for new opportunities, and has now found a fresh start at Grambling State, where he will continue his journey at another storied program.
