Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds Unlocks New Level With Videogame Studio Launch

Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons, has ventured into the world of video game development by co-founding Night Street Games with his brother and band manager, Mac Reynolds. Their debut project, Last Flag, is a 5v5 capture-the-flag (CTF) shooter inspired by their childhood experiences of playing the game in the woods at night with flashlights. The game aims to bring the excitement and nostalgia of those moments to the digital realm .

The Reynolds brothers have a long-standing passion for gaming. Dan Reynolds has been an avid gamer since his youth, enjoying titles like Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo. This enthusiasm has influenced Imagine Dragons’ music, with their songs featured in various video games and gaming events. For instance, their track “Radioactive” was used in trailers for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed III, and “Enemy” was created for the animated series Arcane by Riot Games and Netflix .

Last Flag offers a fresh take on the CTF genre by introducing unique gameplay mechanics. Before the match begins, teams must hide their flag within their base. Players then capture radar towers to gather intel on the enemy’s flag location. Once a team’s flag is located, they must defend it briefly to secure a win, adding a layer of strategy to the traditional CTF format .

Scheduled for release in 2026 on Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with plans for console versions, Last Flag is set to offer a nostalgic yet innovative gaming experience. The Reynolds brothers’ deep-rooted love for gaming and their commitment to creating an engaging game make Last Flag a promising addition to the gaming landscape.
