Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly parted ways with Venezuelan midfielder Edson Castillo.
According to FARPost, the two parties decided to separate following a mutual agreement to terminate the player’s contract. The 31-year-old midfielder was not among the players who travelled to the Netherlands on Thursday night for the pre-season tour. Castillo arrived at Naturena in 2023 under coach Molefi Ntseki, where he impressed and became a fan favourite. In his debut season, he scored five times in 32 appearances; however, that was overshadowed by Amakhosi’s poor season.
