The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly said goodbye to a fan favorite wide receiver, Traeshon Holden, in their latest updated 53-man roster prediction following preseason Week 2. This comes as part of the team’s trimming process heading into the regular season.

The roster shows Dak Prescott, Joe Milton, and Will Grier as the quarterbacks likely to make the team, though the backup spots behind Prescott are somewhat uncertain. The running back room includes Javonte Williams, Jaydon Blue, Hunter Luepke, and Phil Mafah, with Miles Sanders potentially being edged out after a lackluster preseason performance.
The receiver room decision was one of the tougher calls, and despite positive mentions of Holden’s performance, he was predicted to be cut. Other players like Jalen Brooks and Jalen Tolbert were considered for the roster, with Tolbert possibly facing a trade threat if not retained.
As the coaching staff finalizes their roster for the start of the season, the Cowboys’ 53-man roster is beginning to take shape with difficult cuts and competitive battles in a number of positions.
